Focusing on the internationally significant photographic collections at National Science and Media Museum (Bradford, UK), this article explores central questions: What counts as ‘scientific’ in a museum dedicated to history of photography (as well film, television, digital media)? And what is place science technology? The set UK Canada offers framework for thinking about relationship between histories photography, institutional collecting practices.
